H&H began with 1 Honda mower, my son Austin, myself, and one church member who needed her lawn mowed. In 2007, I retired from the US Army and was able to begin spending more time with Austin. In the beginning, I focused on teaching my son how to care for our lawn. In 2012, we began by cutting a few lawns. In '13, we got serious about cutting grass. Since 2013, we have grown to employ as many as a 15 during the peak season. Team H&H is sharp, polite, well-trained, and supervised. Our goal is to exceed your expectations. We will make it right when we don't.

Harris & Harris Lawncare (H&H) excels for homeowners and property managers facing large, urgent, or long-neglected yard work where speed, scale, and reliable cleanup matter most. The company is a strong fit for single- to multi-family properties, rental units prepped for turnover, and commercial sites with substantial hedge lines, leaf load, pine needle debris, or overgrown beds. Jobs that require a sizable crew, a fast turnaround, or a willingness to tackle 10-year accumulations are where H&H shines. Budget-wise, anticipate a value-forward range: many clients praise the reasonable pricing given the magnitude of the work, though a few sparse experiences note pricing can feel high relative to smaller, routine mow-and-trim jobs. The recurring theme is effectiveness under pressure: if a property is due for a major cleanup or a keep-up plan needs to be reset, H&H is often the practical, time-saving choice.
Safety and cleanup standards are central to what clients should expect from H&H. The standout feature across reviews is thorough debris removal, pine needles, leaves, downed limbs, and mound after mound of yard waste are hauled away and the site returned to a neat, presentable state. Edging, trimming, and fine-detail work are consistently described as meticulous, with crews paying attention to sidewalks, driveways, and fence lines. That level of cleanup is not cosmetic; it reduces trip hazards, discourages pest harborage, and improves property appearance for resale or rental turnover. The best results come when the scope is explicit: specify whether debris haul-off is included and request before/after photos to verify the level of cleanup. One-sided caution: a handful of reviews indicate isolated safety lapses, dust exposure, gate damage, or equipment-related mishaps, so insist on a clear safety plan, PPE, and a quick walkthrough to confirm no collateral damage.
Workmanship is consistently assertive and broad in scope, spanning lawn care, hedge and shrub trimming, brush removal, tree pruning, and even large-scale tree abandonment or removal when needed. Clients repeatedly note that a single visit can transform a yard from “jungle” to lawn-ready, with crews deploying multiple vehicles and a methodical, team-based approach. The company’s capacity to handle big projects, overgrown trees, heavy brush, and full bed renovations, makes them especially suitable for properties that have not been serviced in years. Real estate professionals and landlords report that H&H’s work often shortens the path to sale or rent-ready status, thanks to reliable timing, consistent communication, and visible improvement in curb appeal.
Reliability and professionalism emerge as strong, but not universally uniform, themes. The majority of reviews celebrate prompt responses, same-day or next-day service, and straightforward communication, quotes sent quickly, online payment options, and transparent walk-throughs to confirm expectations. Several accounts highlight Sean Harris and the team’s practical knowledge, trustworthiness, and ability to tailor a plan to the client’s budget and needs. Yet a minority of reviews flag inconsistent scheduling, miscommunications about scope, or perceived price differences between quotes and final invoices. The recurring caution is simple: verify the exact scope and confirm any ancillary charges in writing (for example, mulch, debris disposal, or extra edging) to avoid sticker shock. In the best cases, the team’s leadership drives accountability, with photos and progress updates provided during remote or long-distance projects.
From a horticultural perspective, H&H’s approach tends toward decisive, hands-on field work rather than ornamental consulting. They handle pruning, trimming, and removal with a practical eye for plant health and structural integrity, critical for trees near homes, power lines, or driveways. The emphasis on fast, effective care is a practical boon for clients preparing a property for sale, or for those juggling a tight timeline. The breadth of services, lawn mowing, weed control, pine straw installation, mulch refresh, and bed edging, means the same crew can deliver a cohesive, elevated curb appeal without outsourcing to multiple vendors. However, this breadth can also widen the gap between high-level expectations and on-site execution if the client’s vision requires nuanced plant selection or long-term landscape design. For those seeking a true landscape overhaul, pair H&H with a separate design consult to map plant palettes and irrigation needs beyond the immediate cleanup.
H&H Lawncare is a pragmatic choice for large, urgent, or complicated yard projects where speed, scale, and solid cleanup matter most. The ideal client is a homeowner or property manager with 0.25 to 1.5 acres of overgrowth or neglected beds, a need for rapid turnover, and a budget that prioritizes value and reliability over the lowest possible hourly rate. Before hiring, secure a written scope with a clear checklist of what’s included (mowing, edging, trimming, debris haul-off, pine straw or mulch installation), and insist on a post-work walkthrough and photos. Request a single point of contact for scheduling to minimize miscommunication, and confirm a safety protocol that covers PPE use, dust control, and accidental damage prevention. When these elements are in place, H&H consistently delivers transformations that elevate curb appeal, reduce ongoing maintenance burdens, and provide enough consistency to justify repeat service. For property portfolios and busy homeowners alike, this is the team that makes the yard look as good as it performs.
