Lindsey The Lawn Lady was started in 2017 when Our backs were to the wall. The landlord didn't pay the mortgage as we were giving them rent money every month. We found a piece of paper in our yard saying the house was up for sheriff sale with the next day date on it. Wasn't sure if it was real. Looked into it. It was real and happening. We needed a way to make money quick or we would sink. Lindsey thought to start mowing lawns so that's exactly what the owner Steven did. Started off with one or two accounts and then had several. Realized we liked mulching, spreading rock, trimming bushes, trees, planting, creating flower beds and focused on that. Did very well until covid hit and we ran into several problems. Giving up isn't an option

Lindsey The Lawn Lady is best suited for modest-to-midscale residential properties that need reliable, on-demand yard care, seasonal cleanups, and hands-on landscape refreshes. The service profile fits homeowners with 1) a local Plano or similar suburban lot, 2) projects that are mostly pruning, bed restoration, weed control, and plant replacements rather than high-risk, high-competition tree removals, and 3) budgets in a mid-range where practical pricing and frequent communication matter. The firm earns its strongest value in projects that benefit from quick mobilization, steady progress, and a clear path from planning to finish, think spring cleanups, hedge and bed refreshes, and routine lawn maintenance. It may not be the safest fit for customers chasing a single, large, complex arboricultural job that requires an ISA-certified arborist or for clients needing a flawless, no-surprises schedule on a high-stakes project. In short, a practical match for everyday yard improvement, with caveats for specialized tree work.
Safety and cleanup standards stand out as a defining strength in the reviews. A consistent thread is thorough debris removal and meticulous finish work, hedges trimmed, beds refreshed, and grounds leveled after a project, with crews finishing late if necessary to leave the property neat. The emphasis on cleanup translates into real value for homeowners who dread post-work messes or who expect a yard to be ready for planting or entertaining the same day. This is not a vague promise; many customers remark on how the crew returns to address lingering concerns, tidy up plant material, and ensure the landscape looks intentional and cared for. However, the safety caveat remains essential: tree work carries risk, and always confirm on-site safety practices, protective gear, and containment of debris, especially when pruning near structures, water features, or sprinkler systems. The strongest advice is to insist on documented safety protocols and responsible disposal in the contract.
When it comes to job fit and complexity, Lindsey The Lawn Lady shines in hands-on landscape tasks rather than highly technical arboriculture. Reviews repeatedly highlight success with large landscape projects, bed redesigns, weed removal, and plantings, along with complementary tasks such as screen repairs and power washing. The team handles responsive estimates and can mobilize quickly, which favors urgent spring cleanups or a rapid turnaround on seasonal refreshes. For property owners contemplating pruning and beautification of shrubs, perennials, and groundcovers, the crew delivers solid value and dependable execution. Yet for owners facing substantial tree removals, hazardous pruning, or work that demands a certified arborist’s judgment on tree health and risk, it is prudent to engage a dedicated arborist or insist on a clearly defined scope and credentials in the contract. The company’s breadth makes it a strong all-around landscape partner, with the caveat that tree-specific risk management may require supplementary expertise.
Budget and value emerge as a practical strength, tempered by the occasional caveat. Numerous reviewers describe pricing as fair, competitive, and reasonable for the scope of work, with several noting quick responses and straightforward quotes. The consistent 4.4 rating, driven largely by five-star experiences, suggests strong satisfaction when projects proceed as planned. Yet there are notable warnings about deposits, refunds, and scheduling reliability. A subset of reviews recount delays, cancellations, or difficulties securing refunds after money is advanced, underscoring the need for precise contract terms and progress milestones. For prospective clients, the prudent approach is to obtain a written estimate with a detailed scope, confirm payment terms (including any deposits and refund policies), and set explicit completion dates tied to measurable milestones. Do not rely on verbal assurances; insist on signed agreements and progress checks.
Urgency and reliability surface as a mixed signal in the feedback. On the positive side, several clients praise rapid responsiveness, quick estimates, and the ability to start work within a day or two of the initial contact. Crews are described as hardworking, detail-oriented, and capable of staying on-site until the work is completed, even under tight deadlines. On the cautionary side, a handful of reviewers report late starts, reschedules, or complete non-fulfillment after payment, which can be devastating for time-sensitive projects and seasonal windows. The practical takeaway: use a written schedule with firm dates, demand on-time performance as a condition of the contract, and maintain open lines of communication for updates and contingency plans. If the project hinges on strict timing, insist on a dedicated project lead and a daily progress log.
Bottom line: Lindsey The Lawn Lady represents a solid choice for homeowners seeking dependable spring cleanups, ongoing maintenance, bed and hedge work, and general landscape refreshes at a reasonable price. The company’s reputation for responsive communication and thorough cleanup makes it a reliable partner for routine yard care and mid-sized renovations. However, when the job calls for specialized, high-stakes tree work, or when a project’s success hinges on flawless scheduling and guaranteed refunds, proceed with caution. Vet credentials, secure a written contract, and demand a concrete timeline with milestone-based payments. If the project aligns with garden rejuvenation, weed-control, and planting improvements, and the tree work remains within the realm of pruning and beautification rather than hazard mitigation, Lindsey The Lawn Lady offers practical value, confident execution, and a hands-on approach that tends to leave yards looking polished, healthy, and ready for the next season.
